Productivity hinges on the smooth operation of building infrastructure. For sensitive builds like hospitals, this is a matter of life and death. Facilities Managers are the lynchpins, holding together the needs of diverse groups, managing vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring that spaces work for their occupants.
This course will introduce the building life cycle and the role of a facilities manager. It will demonstrate how a facilities manager adds value to the building in every part of its life from design and construction, to occupation, operation and decommissioning.
The course goes beyond traditional asset management, ensuring that the facilities manager will be empowered to be a key part of the business strategy for the organisation and able to contribute to the overall well being of their users. The project component of the course will prepare the learner to solve real world challenges.
