The website and mobile apps (collectively referred to as the “Platform”) and the information, services and other materials contained therein are provided and operated by Urban Management Centre (referred to as “we”, “us” or “UMC”).
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is here to describe how The Urban College collects, uses, and shares information about you through our online interfaces.
2. What Information this Privacy Policy covers?
Non-personal Information
When you come to our Platform, we will collect and aggregate Non-Personal Information such as URLs through which you connected with our Platform. Collecting such information may involve logging the IP address, operating system and browser software used by each user of the Platform, usage information among other things.
Personal Information
We collect personal information at the time of registration on the Platform. We do so to identify the user uniquely. This information may include, among other things, your name, postal address, email address, contact number, occupation, Education, Employee type, gender.
We shall also collect the following data to record your progress on the course you are enrolled in:

sign up for an Urban College user account and create and user profile;

enroll and participate in online courses;

purchase a product or service (for example, Verified Certificates);

send email messages to Urban College (including messages to learner support);

participate in public forums, webinars, and other interactive experiences on the site.

Your User name shall be visible to the general public when you post/ comment on the discussion forum available at the Platform.
3. Cookies And Tracking Technologies on the edX Site
Like many companies, The Urban College uses Cookies and other common Tracking Technologies on the site and in email communications to help us better understand your use and needs of the Site, current and future The Urban College-related products and services, and how we can improve. For example:

a. We will treat your information as confidential information and only use and disclose it in accordance with these Terms. However, your Content is not regarded as confidential information if such Content:

is or becomes public other than through breach of these Terms by UMC;

was lawfully known to UMC before receiving it from you;

is received by UMC from a third party without knowledge of breach of any obligation owed to you;

was independently developed by UMC.
b. UMC will store and process your Content in a manner consistent with industry security standards.
c. Personal information stored on this service will only be used for identification, verification of identity and internal monitoring of the application. UMC agrees to not sell, license or otherwise monetize such personal information on the platform.
d. Personal Information shall be used for assessing individual’s progress and issuance of certificate.
e. If you are using The Urban College as a mandate from your employer, we may share your Personally Identifiable Information and evaluations or progress in the Program with your employer. This information may be shared at any time during the course or afterwards.
f. We may publish, display or use in any manner, we may deem fit; any aggregated data. For the purpose of this policy, "Aggregated Data" means records that does not contain Personal Information and that have been manipulated or combined to provide generalised, anonymous, analysis of information. We may share such aggregated data with affiliates, business partners for planning or other purposes.
g. We reserve the right to update, change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. The Policy shall come to effect from the date of such update, change or modification.
