Enumeration for Inclusion
Identifying Sanitation Workers in cities of India

Who deals with my fecal waste? Who ensures the occupational health and safety of sanitation workers? How can I ensure their access to social entitlements? How can I engage with them effectively, facilitate their social inclusion, and support them in achieving their aspirations?

If you have asked any of these questions, join us for this public lecture.

Together we will discuss the experience of our ongoing work in Odisha where we supported Housing & Urban Development Department in carrying out an exhaustive enumeration of sanitation workers across the six largest cities of Odisha. We will share our learnings of working together with the State government, city governments and the community of sanitation workers to build a robust enumeration strategy and a digital system to support the entire process.
